Une salle de consommation de drogue à moindre risque ouvrira à Strasbourg à l'automne prochain au sein du Nouvel Hôpital civil, dans le cadre de l'expérimentation des SCMR rendue possible par la loi santé adoptée en décembre, a annoncé la mairie.

Suite à l’adoption de la loi n°2016-41 dite «  de modernisation de notre système de santé » autorisant l’expérimentation de salles de consommation à moindre risque (SCMR) pour une durée de 6 ans, le Ministère de la Santé a permis la mise en place de SCMR par deux centres d’accueil et d’accompagnement à la réduction des risques (Caarud). L’association Gaïa à Paris et Ithaque à Strasbourg ouvriront d’ici quelques mois les premières salles.
